K-MART

Double coupons - $1.00 and less (not $2 and less like before) – Jan 4 to Jan 10.

I have a crusade to get K-Mart to fix a problem with their double coupons.  Coupons that are an amount for 2 or more items, don’t double correctly.  For instance, if a coupon is 60 cents off two items and the item costs $1 they will only take $1 off total (.60 +.40) and not $1.20 even though you bought two items.  Coupons that are $1 off of two items will not double to $2 off – only $1.  A lot of people think they are doubling and the K-Mart stipulations don’t either clearly state that those type of coupons won’t double.  You may have noticed that you aren’t saving as much as you should.

Also watch the cashier to make sure that they are pressing the right item that matches the coupon.  If you purchase a lot of items, they may not match the item up with the coupon on the register and that may reduce the amount you get doubled.

I had a manager tell me that they will double, only to find that they didn’t.  A head cashier gave me a hard time and I told her that I would take this to the Ohio Attorney General.  She said good luck with that.  Well, she pissed the bejeebers out of me and spurred me along.

I sent an e-mail via K-Marts site and they contacted me…while I was at church on Christmas Eve.  Not good timing on their part.  I did eventually talk to their management to let them know what happened with the coupon problems.  Their head cashier had a talking to and their management is pursuing fixing the problem with their headquarters.  Stay tuned…I’m not going to let up on this one.

A FUN LITTLE STORY

I was kicking back watching some Tivo'd episodes of That's So Raven, when I thought to myself ...I wonder if I have any superpowers I'm not aware of.  So I tried a couple things that I thought would be simple super powers that should I have them they would work right off the bat.

I first tried concentrating on a pen that was on a table so that I could levitate it.  No luck.  I crossed my eyes so bad that I got a tension headache.

Next I tried to run real fast in the house to see if I had super speed.  Well, apparently it's hard to run real fast and turn corners just as fast because I took a spill on the hallway rug.  The cats thought I was playing and they were following me.  I apparently wasn't fast enough to break from their curious pace.

Finally I figured I could fly.  No problem.  All I need is a cape that I wasn't aware had magical powers, so I found a tablecloth with special stains in it that I had to imagine gave me flying powers.  I took a leap and there I was flying around the house.  While I was up there I dusted the ceiling and did a little touch up painting.  When you're standing at ground level it's hard to notice those things.

So 1 out of 3 wasn't bad.  Back to That's So Raven.  She's a bit over-animated, but she makes me laugh inside and not out loud, sort of like a lot of comics do like Hagar and Hi & Lois, but definitely not like Family Circus.  That comic makes me snap and want to swat flies so hard that they won't know what the bejeebers hit them.

PRICE SPIDER

To check price histories go to http://www.pricespider.com.  Sometimes stores increase prices just before a sale making the item seem like it’s a great deal.  So help distinguish a so-so sale from a don’t miss sale.

IRS TAX VALUATION

Ever wonder how much your garments should cost when you claim them on your taxes?  Here's a couple sites that will help you figure out if your red leather pants are still worth the $100 that you think they are worth:

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

My New Year's resolution will be to say and type the word "bejeebers" much more often.

Just because a person makes more than you doesn't make them a better person, instead one that should pick up the lunch tab.

DINOS

Ever go to a restaurant that did it all right.  Great service.  Great food.  Include a good salad free with the meal.  Add two side dishes free with the meal.  And the food is awesome.  That’s Dino’s in Willowick and Willoughby.  Plus they are in the Our Town coupon book.  And the meal prices are very reasonable in the low teens mostly.

I was at a restaurant in Little Italy the day before and they didn’t include a salad, their cheapest bottle of wine was $30 and it tasted like watered down vinegar, and the meals were mostly all over $25.  Ridiculous.  Food was ok, but should’ve been priced half the amount they charged.  Good thing I had a restaurant.com coupon and they were on the Rewards Network.  Mamma Mia...
