Every so often I like to break out in song with my ukelele. I play it according to the way I see any squirrel's movements. Good thing there are plenty of squirrels around because without zig-zagging squirrels, my music is nothing. Sometimes I have to hurl a peppercorn at them so that they move so that I can play my glorious music. One time, I lobbed a peppercorn at a squirrel only to find out that only the wind and a large truck would make it move. It was pancaked across the road. I was able to muster up a vision of it's last moments, enough to eke out a little song with my ukelele. A lot of low notes in the end. But it is hard to make a ukelele sound sad. Only the tears splashing on my wooden engineered box of music making notes echoed in the sky. That was until I saw another squirrel dash across a field of manicured green. That got my leg stomping again, the music playing, and the notes attaching to the leaves rustling on the ground. Happy times, happy times yes indeed again...

By the way, the 4 cents a gallon reduction we would save for drilling in the Arctic was taken from Harper's Magazine in their Harper's Index section the other month. Funny thing is people supported it, but had no idea how much it would save. Ask anyone that supported it how much it will save and most likely they don't have any concrete data to tell you. And they also said it would take ten years before a drop of oil would be drilled. We really need to do a better job of questioning these type of decisions before we fall off a cliff like lemmings because we are drinking the kool-aid. A lotta lies out there and distortions. Sadly the government had many chances to get the carmakers to increase their overall gas mileage of their cars, but they voted it down. Had they done so we would've decreased our consumption years ago. Live and learn...
