I stopped at the Medina Super K-Mart to take advantage of the super super doubles (doubling coupons up to $2 in value - ended this past Saturday). We stopped at pricey but unique Ken Stewards Lodge to use a gift certificate first. That didn't leave us much time to shop afterwards since the deal ended at midnight and we got there around 10:30 PM. Found some deals, but since most of the items weren't on sale, the deals weren't all that great even when doubling coupons of $2 or less.
They were out of some of the items there. If I had more time I think I could've found more deals in blue light land. I got a kick out of some of the parents shopping there with young kids. It was almost midnight and they're out shopping with their 6 year old or younger. I can see them at home, "c'mon Johnny, it's almost midnight, get out of bed and get your knickers on. We're going shopping at K-mart!" Back when I was growing up, a late night was staying up to watch Fantasy Island at the 10:00 hour instead of just Love Boat.
It might be a good time to go since the kids might be groggy and won't put up much of a fuss. Giant Eagle is a great place to go to too if you have kids. Shack them up at their free baby-sitting service, the Eagles Nest. Stores should set up places to drop off college kids, pets, and poets. They all need places too while us shoppers do our thing.
